To trace the pallets with furniture, Furniture manufacturer use Gen2 UHF RFID St. Equipped with the latest next-generation Impinj Monza R6 chip, a wide-band Gen2 UHF RFID Sticker suitable for supply chain applications to identify pallets and more specifically, cases and items for secure track and trace purposes.
These labels were put on the corner of the cardboard where the furniture was wrapped in. In the warehouse there are 5 gates with RFID antennas. Also the forklift has an RFID reader. When a pallet arrives in the warehouse, information is send to the software about the pallet leaving the manufacture lane and entering the warehouse. The pallet can be put anywhere in the warehouse. The location of the pallet can be seen on the map of the warehouse, and also when the pallet leaves the warehouse. The warehouse worker can pick up the pallet to transport it. If accidental the wrong pallet is picked, there will be flashing lights to warn the warehouse worker.
Due to the UHF tags, the pallets with furniture are easily tracked and traced. The warehouse worker can’t pick up the wrong pallet and on the warehouse map you can see where the pallet is and when it leaves.
