The global RFID inlay and label supplier Tageos and the global label company All4Labels announced their cooperation in the highly sustainable RFID inlay and label field.
The common goal of the two companies is to promote the application of sustainable RFID products in all industries. They will provide the market with a new Zero Max RFID inlay equipped with All4Labels’ eRFID antenna. This further complements Tageos’ existing “Zero” series of truly sustainable, high-performance RFID inlays.
The cutting-edge 4E technology on the ground floor was developed by the Walki Group in Jacobstad, Finland.
The antenna used in the paper RFID inlay is made of precision laser cutting 4E technology, which is very sustainable: 100% plastic-free, 100% heavy metal-free and 100% conflict-free material.
The two companies said that compared to using PET materials, they are also very efficient, reducing material waste by up to 70% and carbon footprint by up to 90%. Compared with printed antenna technology, a pure aluminum layer on a paper substrate can enhance radio frequency performance. The combined use of precision laser cutting and paper substrate completely eliminates the use of PET substrate in any chemical antenna etching and manufacturing process. This circular economy approach is part of the mutual sustainable development vision of both parties.
The first result of the cooperation is Tageos’ ZeroMax, powered by an eRFID antenna, which is its successful EOS-300U9 compact inlay version, suitable for retail applications and logistics packaging. The recently launched EOS-300 U9 Zero Max, also powered by eRFID, has successfully passed ARC specifications F, G, I, K, L, M, N, Q, W1, W2, W3, W4, W5 and W6. Currently available in bulk. Other Zero Max supported by eRFID inlay will also be available soon.
Thanks to the cooperation between Tageos and All4Labels, with the support of the 4E antenna, this patented technology is ready to penetrate the RFID market on a larger scale. In order to achieve this goal, All4Labels will provide Tageos with a large amount of paper antenna manufacturing capacity in the next few years. In this way, Tageos will be able to strengthen its existing Zero product line, including Zero Base, Zero Plus and ZeroMax, and further expand its position as a leading supplier of sustainable and high-performance RFID inlays to achieve a wide range of applications.
