Embeddable RFID tags come in all different sizes, shapes. And technician use them in all kinds of different applications.
What are Embeddable RFID tags?
Embedded RFID tags are, quite simply, RFID tags that can embed in products. Of course, this doesn’t mean that every embeddable RFID tag is suitable for every product.
These tags are meant to assist in tracking items. Such as pallets, tools, or assets. Usually, these tags designed to withstand harsh environments.
How Do Embeddable RFID Work?
Like other RFID tags, embedded RFID store data about whatever item they’re applied to. Similar to a bar code or ISBN, these tags contain information about whatever product they’re assigned to. These tags range in size, but they are meant to be embedded in objects. Whether it’s inside a piece of expensive equipment or a pallet.
These RFID tags remain inert until they come in contact with a RFID reader. The RFID reader transmits radio waves that then activate and power the tag. The tag itself then transfers the information that is currently stored on it to the reader.
